TERMS OF SERVICE — Ecqo Extension

Last updated: June 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Ecqo Extension ("Ecqo", "the Extension", "we", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

2. What Ecqo Does

Ecqo is a Chrome browser extension that provides:

  • Workspace Manager — save and restore named sets of browser tabs.

  • Gmail Triage — view, read, reply to, and manage unread Gmail messages directly from your browser toolbar, without opening a full email tab.

  • To-do list — Update your to-do list and work on them then when done send a report of work don to your email.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ecqo. By using the Extension you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using Ecqo on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

4. Google Account & OAuth

Ecqo connects to Gmail using Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol. By connecting your Google account you authorise Ecqo to access your Gmail data (read, send, and modify messages) solely to provide the features described above. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. Ecqo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your Google account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Ecqo to send spam, phishing emails, or any unsolicited bulk messages.

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Extension for malicious purposes.

  • Use Ecqo in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

  • Use Ecqo to infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

6. Intellectual Property

All code, design, and assets in Ecqo are the property of the Ecqo Extension developers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Extension for personal or internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. No Warranties

Ecqo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

  • The Extension will remain compatible with future versions of Chrome or the Gmail API.

  • Any specific feature will remain available.

Your use of Ecqo is entirely at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ecqo and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Extension, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Third-Party Services

Ecqo interacts with Google's Gmail API and OAuth services. Your use of those services is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Ecqo is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

10. Privacy

Your use of Ecqo is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Extension you agree to the collection and use of information as described in that policy. In summary: all data stays on your device and is never transmitted to Ecqo servers.

11. Changes to the Extension or These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Ecqo at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Ecqo at any time by removing the Extension from Chrome. We reserve the right to restrict access to the Extension if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
